6I'll tell you what it really means to worship the LORD. Remove the chains of prisoners who are chained unjustly.  Free those who are abused!  7Share your food with everyone who is hungry; share your home with the poor and homeless. Give clothes to those in need; don't turn away your relatives. 8Then your light will shine like the dawning sun, and you will quickly be healed. Your honesty [a] will protect you as you advance, and the glory of the LORD will defend you from behind.

Isaiah 58:6-8 (CEV)

April Mission of the Month

Both Milwaukee and Waukesha chapters of Habitat for Humanity work to provide decent and affordable housing for famllies in need. Your April mission offerings will help with that effort. Also in April, Ascension is collecting non-perishable food items in the blue bins in West Hall for the Waukesha Food Pantry; and helping restock the Cross Church Food Pantry with rice, rice mixes and noodle mixes in the specially marked bins for Cross.

How is Mission Outreach done at Ascension?  It is done by ministering to people in need in three ways: Hands-on with deeds and words; donations of Gifts-in-Kind; and Financial Support with monetary offerings.
