Remove the chains of prisoners who are chained unjustly.  Free those who are abused!  7Share your food with everyone who is hungry; share your home with the poor and homeless. Mission Outreach     

Mission Outreach Mission Statement

Reaching out to others in need, locally, nationally, and globally,

  with justice and charity through words, actions, and financial support 
 
 
Our Prison Ministry is one of our local ministries
Hurricane relief efforts in New Orleans is an example of our National Ministries
Mission trip to Honduras is an example of our Global Ministries

 

How is Mission Outreach done at Ascension?  It is done by ministering to people in need in three ways: Hands-on with deeds and words; donations of Gifts-in-Kind; and Financial Support with monetary offerings.
 
Working with Habitat for Humanity is an example of how we do Hands on Ministry
Gathering for the Waukesha Food Pantry is an example of our donations of Gifts-in-KInd
We donate funds to a variety of ministries

 

What types of needs are addressed through the ministries of Mission Outreach?  Needs include: Hunger, Health, Housing, Hearing the Word, Justice and Disaster Relief. 
 
Serving at meal programs is one of the things we do to combat hunger
Providing wells for clean water to improve health
Working with Habitat for Humanity and Thrivent Builds to provide affordable housing
Missionary Family we support visits Ascension
Working through SOPHIA to promote Justice
Our Disaster Relief Trailer ready to take supplies and tools to the next call for help
