Jan Janzow is the musician. Pastor Frank Janzow will preach part 1 of the LIFE'S HEALING CHOICES series: "The Reality Choice: Admitting Need." Hear the Bible story from Luke 15 about the Lost Sheep. Jesus provides hope to those who are wounded, lost, or broken.

OUTREACH FOR HOPE FUNDRAISER BIKE RIDE THIS SATURDAY, SEPT. 11
It's not too late to register or make a donation to Outreach for Hope. Pastor Jim Bickel serves as Executive Director of Outreach for Hope. All donations to the ride will be doubled with a $25,000 matching grant that assists Greater Milwaukee Synod churches in central city neighborhoods. ASCENSION GIRLFRIENDS MINISTRY TO SELL TICKETS THIS SUNDAY
Girlfriends will be selling tickets to the Friday evening, Oct. 8 Birthday Bash ($10) and merchandise at the table near the Hearth Room this Sunday. They have coffee mugs, hats, totes, t-shirts and more. There will be a handout at the door this Sunday to explain this special event.

AGAPE RINGERS IN CONCERT AT ASCENSION ON SUNDAY, SEPT. 19, 6:00 PM
Chicago's Premiere Handbell Ensemble will be in concert at Ascension on Sunday, Sept. 19, 6:00 pm. Under the baton of founder David Weck, this auditioned ensemble has astonished audiences with their beautifully orchestrated presentations. The musicians perform on 75 handbells and 73 choir chimes. Invite your friends and family. There will be a freewill offering.
SEPTEMBER MISSIONS SUPPORT MISSIONARY FAMILY
Our prayers and mission offerings in September support the Stubbs family serving as ELCA missionaries at Makimura University in Meru, Tanzania. The goal is $3.900 so Ascension can support the family for the entire month. Consider a donation on the mission line of your offering envelope so we can meet the goal! Thank you for June offerings that purchased 122 square meters of the Makimura Farm Project in Tanzania at $20 each (about the size of the Hearth Room). In July we helped purchase 299 bed nets at $10 each to reduce malaria transmissions by mosquito bites.
AMEN MINISTRIES TO HOST MEN'S BREAKFAST AND PANEL ON SEPT. 28
As part of the church-wide fall study of LIFE'S HEALING CHOICES, AMEN Ministries will be sponsoring a Men's Breakfast on Sat. Sept. 25 from 8-10 am in the West and East Halls at church. Instead of a single speaker, there will be a panel of 4 men discussing Cancer Survival, Personal Relationships, Rare Illness, and Job Loss. All men invited. Come and bring a friend!
