Pastoral Succession Update

• At a congregational meeting last Sunday, Ascension members voted overwhelmingly to extend a call to Pastor Chris Marien to be our new associate pastor.

 

• We are completing an official call document that must be signed by the synod bishop and mailed to Pastor Chris.

 

• After a period of discernment, Pastor Chris then will respond formally to the call.

 

• If he accepts the call (which we expect), we anticipate that Pastor Chris will arrive at Ascension sometime in November.
