Succession plan move to Phase 2 expected in early 2012

The move to Phase 2 of the succession plan is expected to occur in February 2012. This significant step in our spiritual journey together will be lifted up and acknowledged in worship and at the congregation’s annual meeting that month. The length of Phase 2 is flexible and will be determined by Pastor Frank and Deaconess Jan in concert with Pastor Chris and the Succession Team.

During Phase 2, Pastor Frank and Pastor Chris will serve as co-lead pastors, working together as partners in their pastoral ministry at Ascension. Pastor Chris will assume more responsibilities during Phase 2, and he and Pastor Frank will share more equally in the administrative, ministerial and other pastoral duties at Ascension.

Deaconess Jan will continue to serve as director of music during Phase 2, directing the adult and children’s choirs, and carrying out her worship planning and other administrative responsibilities. However, she may choose to hand off her role as Joyful Worship Wing Leader as an early step in her succession plan.

Or, you may speak with anyone on the church council, or any of the wing leaders – Reily Cooper, Jan Janzow, Becky Klotz and Kris Wiese.
