Nursery Service

Ascension offers Nursery Service for children ages 6 months to 3 years old while parents are in Worship. Nursery Service is available at 9:00 and 10:45 on Sunday mornings as well as other special services...

Special Event

Road to Bethlehem is held the first Saturday in December from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. It is a time for fellowship, food, and fun. We have games, crafts, puppets, service, and worship. Ages: 1- 6 grade. It is an opportunity to learn about the true meaning of Christmas in a casual atmosphere while having lots of fun.

Ascension offers parents support in the Christian Education of their children in several ways. We spend time with the adults that are guiding these children through their spiritual journey. It is our privilege to walk along side families as they fulfill the baptismal promises they made.

Sunday School

Sunday School convenes September through May, for children 3 years old through 6th grade.
Rally Day (first day) is the first Sunday after Labor day.
Sunday School is offered at two times 8:55 and 10:40. All Sunday School classes begin with gathering of several classes for Worship.
- At 8:55 the lesson is presented in large group and then the rest of the time is spent in classrooms with several grade levels combined as reinforcement of the lesson and application is done.
- At 10:40 the lesson is presented in individual classrooms with reinforcement and application done in the classroom. Sunday School uses a variety of medium, including storytelling,music, arts and crafts, puppets, video .....

Stepping Stones

Ascension recognizes milestones in children, youth and families lives with their Stepping Stone Program.

We begin this program with Baptism
Continues with blessing of our 3 year olds as they start Sunday School
Receiving Bibles in second grade
First Communion in fifth grade
Completion of Sunday School in 6th grade
Rite of Confirmation in 9th grade
High School Graduation
