Faith in God often requires sacrifice in the present for reward in the future. Our future is framed in our 2020 Vision, but we won’t achieve our 2020 Vision if we don’t pay down our mortgage debt. Yes, our Goliath is big and intimidating, but knocking Goliath down now will enable us to look beyond today and walk with genuine hope toward God’s vision for our future.

We all can help Ascension live out God’s vision for our church through intentional, generous and sacrificial giving that is over and above our regular offerings – because if all we do is redirect our regular offerings, we won’t make any progress. And while all of us can’t make equal gifts, we all can make equal sacrifices.

Here’s what you can do:

• Pray for Ascension and the success of this appeal.
• Ask God, “Lord, what do you want to do through me to accomplish your vision for Ascension?”
  
• Join us on Vision Sunday, March 6, as we discuss our vision for Ascension.
  
• Consider prayerfully your part in this initiative and your potential for sacrificial giving.
  
• Decide on your personal giving plan for the next three years.
  
• Join us on Commitment Sunday, April 10, and step forward with faith and hope into Ascension’s future.
• Vision what God visions for Ascension: Goliath on its back. Ministries surging forward. Future generations finding Christ’s love in this place. People forever changed.
• Let’s Vision Ascension. For the sake of the future, let’s believe and bring Goliath down.
