Ascension's Mime Ministry is open to 9th-12th grade youth. Inspired by a previous youth director at Ascension while listening to the music from “Dances With Wolves,” she envisioned Ascension youth portraying the final hours of Christ’s life in “Mime”...no words, just their actions synchronized to this beautiful music communicating the power and poignancy of the Passion Story.

Over the past 15 years, The Passion has been performed before thousands of people at more than 200 churches in Wisconsin and Illinois. The youth of Ascension have made it their mission to touch people’s hearts with God’s message of love, hope, and forgiveness through Jesus Christ as they re-enact the drama of the Last Supper, the betrayal, the trial, the crucifixion and the sorrow surrounding Jesus’ death. This has become an annual production of this timeless and most important Christian story
